Hey guys, I found a new converter, it's called the arcsoft video converter. Comes with automatic hardware detection (Basically it detects the zune automatically) or you can choose it from the list. I don't think it expires even though it's a trial version. I've used it for a while and have had no problems. Go google it for a link.

Alright guys im kinda new to this i just got a zune for chrsitmas but ive been doing my home work. ive used several video converters such as any dvd converter, Super, windows media encoder.
well for super i tried to run it and it said it had a problem because i only have 16gb free disk space and i need 20gb and that i need more than 512mb of RAM, yes my computer is kinda old its got a celeron D processor with 512 ram like i said so is there any way to get that program to work?
any dvd converter works and i used the Zune Profile on the program where it cuts it down to 30fps 320x240 and when i try to sync it just says converting video for hours and hours. windows media encoder is a joke on my computer here is a screen shot ok well i cant post images but it took 11 hours to convert a 45 minute snowboarding video
so is it just my computer is a dinosaur? or is there something i can do?
any help would be greatly appreciated
thank you =]

yeah, your computer is a fossil. this kind of task is dependant on the speed of your processor, unless you have a gpu that handles this kind of task but judging from your rig that's pretty much impossible. Time to upgrade bro.

Hello everyone!

Just got my Zune 120 for Xmas and learning how to convert. I actually did it with an older version of Winavi and finally got it to sync after a few attempts. I then installed the new version which matched the screen shots on the tutorial but when I went to sync it is converting it. It's taking longer than my first try and I can't remember what the hecK I did the first time.

Anyway..I am trying another..

I got it to work...Yea!
Zune 120 convert avi to mp4 using Winavi MP4 converter and it syncs quickly. If you use Winavi Video Converter choose WMV9 DVD Quality Encoder instead of the 700 it also syncs quickly. The only difference I found it using the WMV900 it takes awhile to convert and the Winavi MP4 converter goes rather quickly....
Any comments?

I'm trying to convert some xvids to wmv using SUPER. Everytime I use the WMV profile it fails. If I encode to mp4, it goes through fine. Why can I not encode to wmv?

I had been using 4Videosoft DVD to Zune Suite. It can convert DVD and video to Zune WMV, MP4, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC (.mp4) for Zune, Zune 2, Zune 3. I prefer this tool. By the way, it is safe and fast.
