If this is the wrong place to be asking this, please, delete it or move it, and I apologize, but...
I went through all the steps you provided, up to "---Hit "OK" and wait for the video to convert 100%." This is where I have my trouble. I press okay, and the next screen comes up for a split second, then I get the windows Send Report/Don't Send Report dialog box.
The error signature is as follows....
I do have the full version, and I have tried reinstalling it atleast twice now, and re downloaded it from 2 different sources. Any idea what so ever about what could possibly be going wrong here?
Thanks in advance.
First post btw, and I am quite happy to find such an awesome community, first of many I hope. =)
Sounds like there is some kind of problem with the way your copy of winAVI is running. All I can really say is to ask Wootmasta and see what he says. He's better with this stuff than I am.
Hi
I am very sorry in advance if I am posting this query in the wrong thread...
I recently downloaded a couple of MP4 video files.
They show up in the Zune software, and the software is able to play them.
I synced them to my Zune, and the conversion (although slow) seemed to go fine. I know that the files transferred, because when I go to the Zune software, then click on "device", then "videos", they show up.
Problem is, when I go to the Zune itself, and go to "videos", the folder is empty!
Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks
i use nidesoft video converter, it works great for me
I just downloaded and tried it. From what I can gather, this software doesn't even output a native Zune format. When you sync, your Zune frontend must be having to convert everything. Even when I used the alleged WMV format, it outputs an .avi file.
I found tons of different video converters that supposedly work for the Zune (most were repackaged versions for the iPod). Some are free, some are commercial. After reviewing all of them, I decided to use Windows Media Encoder by Microsoft (free) with their batch GUI interface. If you want more details on how I convert my video files, check out my Blog link below.
Note, one other video converter that I recommend checking out is called "WM Converter" (free) which has a builtin Zune setting.

I think you have to do it in your codec itself.. If you have CCCP, it should pop up in your task tray, and you can just select no subtitles, english audio channel.
