and this is what she looks like and instantly see idle CPU temperatures go from 42 (lowest) 49 (highest) degrees celsius to.....23 (lowest) 32 (highest) degrees celsius!!!! freaking unbelievable and GPU temps go from (lowest) 52 (highest) 58 degrees celsius to.....39 (lowest) 44 (highest) AWESOMENESS IN A BOX!!!.....and about 4 hours of my time getting everything perfect and back together I have yet to overclock anything (my videocards are overclocked out of the box, so I'll probably leave them alone...but the CPU is at 2.4GHZ.....how high could I o/c it??....

Well, that's it, I left for Germany soon thereafter this was completed, and haven't yet gotten to O/C it....in addition to that I gave my AMD X2 4600+ to my roommate and I have an FX-60 sitting there waiting for me at home...and I am stuck here in Germany until probably April.....oh well, my platform is maxed out and I will have fun with the new 8800GTX's although I have to completely change my water cooling setup to watercool those cards...I may just leave them air cooled, since I have already spent so much on my machine.....

Very nice. Can you list the exact specs and how much you ended up paying for all of it? I am curious

I like how this one is laid out and it one post with pics can be on the screen so you can see what I am doing as you are reading it instead of hopping back and forth.

Thanks a bunch

Sure can, I'll do it tomorrow though as it's getting late here for me and I have been staring at a screen for hours already. I may not be able to remember what exactly everything cost me and when I got it, because I sort of Frankensteined it and as a result bought pieces here and there not all at once.

This is what my system (at those specs, I have recently moved to an FX-60) would cost at current prices:

Case: Lian-Li $189.99
Motherboard (MSI no longer makes the mother board I have so this is a comparative motherboard from ASUS: Asus A8n SLI $133.99
Processor: AMD X2 4600+ $255
RAM: Patriot Memory Signature Series $214.99
Hard Drive: WD 80 GB $43.99
Video Cards: BFGTech 7600GT X2 $288.98
Power Supply: PC Power & Cooling I have the Turbocool 510, but it looks like they don't sell it anymore... ran around $280 when new/got mine a few months old from a friend for $75
Optical Drive: CD/DVD burner I have a different NEC one, but it's not on Newegg, but this one is similar.
Cooling: Thermaltake Big Water SE $109.99
VGA blocks: VGA blocks X2 $57.98

That's it I believe....if I forgot something I'll edit later

All together it's about $1400. Although I did manage to snag the mobo open box for about $115 and the PC Power & Cooling PSU for $75. I also bought the water cooling kit retail...which was more expnesive, but whatever, it's said and done now.

Jmslew, you need to compress any more tutorials in to one large image. If you need a place to store that image, tell the staff and we can find you something. However I see this as post-whoring, and I'd really like it to stop, thank you.

He's obviously not doing it for the posts. Lpx is editing them together in groups of 2s and 3s, that's good enough, if you have too many at once it can be confusing, making this whole thing pointless.

Sorry you feel that way.....the reason I posted them like one at a time is so if anybody wants to use them as a guide or even read it as a guide, it is much easier for them since it went literally step by step. The way this one is arranged is still very nice and easy to follow. This way they can have the 2 or 3 directions and the pics that go with it all on their screen at once, in one post, instead of having to scroll and look through 35+ pics to search for what I was describing (or 110 in the comp build), they can follow step by step. Arrange them however you feel, I honestly could care less if I had 2 posts instead of 70 something or whatever it is I have now. It's just a number to me. I have nothing to gain by having a higher number next to my name, just means I geek out and post too much.

The best way to do it is to lay all your pictures out in paint or photoshop or something of the sort and add in all of your notes to teh actual picture then save it all off and up load just that picture and everything is alot easier on everyone plus this way it is harder for someone to steal your work. just and FYI

Thanks, I'll do that. I am on a Mac right now and don't feel like learning/finding new software to do it right now....since my laptop will be here this week. I'll arrange it as suggested and post it up and you guys can delete the ones that are up right now once I get it all organized on my laptop.
