What is everyone's opinion on Acer computers, namely their laptops? I'm looking to buy a new one, and for the money the Acer Aspire 5610 looks like a pretty good buy.
I'm just not sure how credible a company they are since they aren't that mainstream. |

I have a acer ferrari 4000 and i love it, it runs a bit hot though it's using the amd turion 64 mobile.
It’s been with me now for almost 2 years and no problems, i do a lot of designing on it and most of the time i have photoshop, illustrator, flash,IE open at the same time and it runs pretty well,1.25 GB Ram, the 5000 series looks sweet. 8/10 ratings for my notebook and brand so far. If i were you get something mid to hight range it will save you a lot of strees later on.
