Default Automatic Shutdown Prank

Is your friend silly enough to leave you alone with his computer? Whether it be to use the bathroom, grab a snack, or make-out with his girlfriend, it gives you an awesome opertunity to pull one of the best pranks in computer history on his ass.

As soon as he leaves, go to his desktop and create a shortcut. The shortcut manager will pop up and ask you what you want the shortcut to link to. In that box, instead of typing the file path of an .exe, type the following:

Code:
%windir%\system32\shutdown.exe -s -t 60 -c "Hahaha! Good luck getting out of this one!"
When your done with that, name the shortcut "System Test" and move it to Start>All Programs>Startup.

Next time your friend logs into his computer (and everytime after that, for that matter), he'll have a 1 minute warning of his computer being scheduled to shutdown

VERY evil. VERY fun. And since it only happens when you first login, he won't notice it until your long gone

you can stop a shutdown withs shutdown -a

you can also schedule it to happen instantly if you do -t 0, or if you use the at command, you can schedule it to happen at a certain time.

And for that to be fully succesful, you will want to add in -f so that it will force a shutdown (so word can't stop the shutdown with it's do you want to save thing)

Rather than a shortcut you can also do it as a batch file and that way if you want you can configure his command prompt to have funky colors and go full screen. Then you make it start the shutdown and then you can have it forever keep outputting "you have been H4x0r3d" or something, that will reallly freak them out

Also if you want to have it less easily canceled, don't place it in that folder. You can schedule it for start-up through tthat msconfig or whatever it is

as nurta said, you go into command prompt and type "shutdown -a" to abort ANY shutdown... But I bet your friend doesn't know that :P

And yes, this isn't the most effective way to do this, but it is the fastest and most people will have no idea what hit them.

Also, if you set -t to 0, how are you going to disable it?

It's called booting into safe mode, or being very fast and stopping it from starting (things don't start immediately).

I heard of a program that silently sends an email to you when the host computer visits a porn website, but I've since forgot the name.

...An old man told me about it.
