Not currently enrolled in courses so I don't qualify.

My mom ordered through Best Buy . I'll have to see when she gets back in town I guess. I wonder if it's the same price if you choose to buy a disc and not download it?

If your school is a member of MSDNAA, there's a chance that you can get it for free. I will be attending Penn State next year, and looking on the MSDNAA website for penn state, I found that I can get both vista business and windows 7 professional for free. You guys should see if your school has it.

granted, if it didn't, I had a copy of the install disk at hand(should have used that and saved an hour. lol)

I would say no. Any discounts that a 'student' gets from microsoft refers to college students.

I got a total of 4 keys free through MSDNAA

But yes, I honestly would be very wary about the student upgrade installer. We had a computer come in at work that had it crashed. Needless to say, it was unrecoverable.
