My browser preferences have drastically changed over the past week! I loved Chrome since it came out, and with the combination of an Ad-blocking proxy (Privoxy) which also made it a faster browser in general, it seemed like the best, simple to use browser.
Now, this week for some reason i had to uninstall IE7 and install it again (version 7.0.6001.18000) Since the re-installation, it has been starting up, and running much faster in general. Maybe it is because when i did the re-install i deleted all the registry data for IE and used a registry cleaner. It's weird, as it used to be soooo slow, and now it's about the same as Chrome!
So now i use Internet Explorer in full screen mode (F11) which gets rid off all the anoying toolbars and makes it soooo much better for browsing! Opera is handy because all my passwords are kinda on there... and Chrome seems to have become redundant with the rejuvination of Internet Explorer!

This same thing happened to me. I switched to Firefox a long time ago when it was getting all this hype as being a better browser, using less memory and/or space or whatever on your computer, and it was working really good. I started getting an assload of popups so I DL'd the adblock plus and that took care of the problem, but lately, over the past month or so, Internet Explorer seems to provide a much faster, smoother internet browsing experience. So I don't know. Maybe like with the Zune, Microsoft finally decided to start trying to make things actually work well instead of just focusing on, well, nothing in particular other than making things bigger and slower, like they used to.
Iused to see Microsoft in a bad light, but I think they seem to be getting their priorities together. Who knows. Zune is better than iPod, Frak Apple.
