I was installing another operating system on my computer, but messed up with it's bootloader so Windows Vista couldn't boot. I used a Windows 98 boot disk to restore the Vista MBR, but it didn't. I got the other operating system to install, and then it had Vista in the bootloader but when I select it, it gives me a screen saying Windows didn't exit normally, so I click "Start Up Normally" and then it says "A recent hardware change could've messed up your computer" or something, and then it says "Couldn't find winload.exe" and I can't do a Memory Diagnostic either because it can't find the .exe for that either.
I used a Windows Vista x64 Recovery Disc but when it asks me to select the operating system, it can't find Vista. It can see the HDD Partition it's on, but it says "Select the drivers for your hard drive" and I don't have any, and like I said Vista is showing up already. I don't have any System Restore Points or System Backups, but I will NOT reinstall the operating system before I shoot myself. So does anyone know how to fix this problem (Without a reinstall)? Thanks, Nate EDIT: Thanks to everyone's incompetence I've reinstalled Vista. Thanks for nothing -_-
