This browser ought to replace IE as the default Windows browser. It is small, safe, fast, light, and stable, exactly what should be the standard browser. I'll stick to Opera for the features, but Chrome wins in my "most stable" browser spot, kicking out IE by a long run. If it wins most compatible, previously held by Firefox, then I'll jump for joy. It should, because of the huge resources they have to test with, using their cached web pages 'n all.

From what Google was saying, it is not "small". There is a process for each tab, which means it takes up more memory.

Well, I was referring more to the asthetics and features, but that too, I suppose; even though they are split up, each process is managed more efficiently and trash ram is mostly a thing of the past. A good RAM cleaner ought to do the same thing as they purport, but it's nice to see something of the like actually built into the browser. Also, the fragmentation allows for killing of specific memory hogs, whereas in any other browser you need to kill the browser. If I use FF, IE, or Opera for extended periods of time, I've seen their memory use go as high as 300 MB. Not really a problem on this 3 GB of RAM, but my old had a bit above a gig so that was fairly significant. So, this fragmented approach will actually result in less, not more resources used because you have more control over how the broweser manages it, even to the point of having it's own task manager to deal with every aspect of the browser, which is pretty sweet.

Use it for more than a minute, I'm really starting to like this. It imported my crap from FF3, and I just like the way it feels. It may be beta, but the interface is pretty yummy if I do say so myself.

Chrome loads google pages waaaayy faster, yet still it isn't as light as opera and I tried incognito for kicks and giggles and it loaded everything like dial-up connection speed.
I will wait for improvements and user-made skins to consider switching from opera

All hail, the fellow Opera user!
Well, I think that Chrome is a bit lighter and faster, but at the moment is serves as more a terminal to access the internet than anything else, which is what they intended. They wanted Chrome to be as ignorable as possible while still being useful. Though, I do prefer all the features Opera has to a little extra speed and simplicity. And I still find Incognito hilarious. I still don't think that "finding a special gift without letting others know" is justification enough to add such a feature, you know it's for the 13 year-old masses addicted to hentai sites and the like.: p

CHecked out igcognito mode, got this
You've gone incognito. Pages you view in this window won't appear in your browser history or search history, and they won't leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close the incognito window. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved, however.
Going incognito doesn't affect the behavior of other people, servers, or software. Be wary of:
Websites that collect or share information about you
Internet service providers or employers that track the pages you visit
Malicious software that tracks your keystrokes in exchange for free smileys
Surveillance by secret agents
People standing behind you
Learn more about incognito browsing.

Hehehe, most the "love" for the Chrome browser more likely based on its newess, speed to being nothing but bareboned and people never trying a browser like theWorld browser and I reiterate it again its newness which makes it seem shiny and attractive.
This comes to mind when I have read all these "love" comments:

Well, I like it for the architecture as well; you gotta admit, splitting the processes and creating a different permission system is pretty smart. This makes a good basic and simple browser. Whether it will remain that way is still yet to be seen though, after all it's only a 0.2 release. Perhaps they'll add some more features and aesthetics that have been in Opera for years. : p

I they remove the extra 8 billion pixels worth of padding off the bookmark bar, allow extensions, and fix the bugs like animated gifs not running full speed, I could leave firefox... maybe.
