What do you guys own or perfer a perfectly portable laptop.

A Desktop capapble of doing things laptops cant!!

not much a desktop can do a laptop can't, it's mostly a matter of cost.

I prefer laptops. I hate having to sit at a desk.

Well as nurta said its all about the priceing. Laptops can do anything a desktop can do but for more. I have both so I really cant decide which I like more.

Desktops by a LONG SHOT. I can't stand darn trackpads or crunched up laptop keyboards or small laptop screens. Basically, I hate everything about laptops.

As said its about cost, but you can find affordable laptops you just have to do some looking. Laptops FTW

id have to say laptop.i dont like sitting at a desk,nor like to game on a pc.thats what my 360 is for.

I find the laptop much more convenient compared to the desktop except if you want to do pc gaming. if thats a non factor than I would go with the laptop.

I love my laptop, but I have wired internet so it kind of defeats most of the purpose

Laptops, you can take them everywhere with you, and you can lay in bed and type instead of sitting on a chair for long periods of time... but the laptop has to have a large memory and a long battery life to be better then a desktop too, because otherwise they just limit you

For daily use, Notebook all the way. I like being able to unplug and take my computer with me on a whim.

It depends if you want to move around, or just be a wall flower.

Remember, if there's a fire, it's a hell of a lot easier to save a laptop than a desktop!

For pure gaming bliss and raw unabated, overclocked, uber power...Desktop FTW!

For portable power with the only con being a hot lap

... Notebook FTW!

It all depends on what you need the machine for to say unequivocally this or that one is good for me.

My desktop works great with the desk and is a great tool for writing papers, playing games, setting it up for all sorts of tasks that all use wired connections (Mouse and Internet).

My notebook lets me go places but the wireless varies in speed as opposed to the wired desktop. This one is great for writing notes as I have them or take them in a class and playing some older games.

One must figure out what they want the computer to do and what they need it for.

I need something that i can move around easily for school so i prefer laptops. I have a 17" Dell Studio so screen size isnt really a problem and I have a wireless mouse so I dont need to fiddle with the little track pad and I actually prefer laptop keyboards
