While I actually use and like Vista, I don't know how reactions to a 10 minute demo of it could allow those people to see all of the good (and bad). Although it is a neat marketing ploy from Microsoft. Next time they should have Ashton Kutcher do it!

I hate those people who come into my Best Buy and just yap about how they hate Vista.

Unfortunately, most people buy into the general viewpoint of certain products without a second thought. That's why so many people believe that iPods are the pinnacle of PMPs without ever considering the competitors.

Just goes to show that all the bad press about Vista is more to blame for its lack of adoption than the OS itself. Granted, this isn't definitive, but it's a start.

I blame the massive amounts of disinformation from the "Windows" users that pops up every time there is a new Windows release. I still remember all the bad stuff being said about Windows XP before it got released up until Vista got released.

This experiment shows how sad and petty people can be.

I love my Vista and my XP, but my XP has no DX10

Sales rule no.1 = if you can't sell a product in under five minutes based upon its merits, it'll never be sold. The basic fact is that people eat with their eyes first, and then get into the flavour.

Yeah... I still remember being reluctant to switch to XP because so many people badmouthed it, especially after suffering through Windows ME.

I have yet to switch to Vista however, mostly because I have no real reason to, with such an outdated system...

Vista has been absolutely perfect for me. Virus free and never crashed for over a year since I had it. People need to realize, with good working hardware, vista is an amazing OS.

I agree. Of course, if I was one of the people who completely shunned Vista (I use it a bit more now, mainly because it has some things my XP doesn't have yet) I would still be a bit concerned seeing as Vista always has Windows DRM running, which slows down the system, and it doesn't do anything besides that unless you digitally buy your music.

But still, it's nice to see Microsoft finally manning up and fighting back Apple. When an OS gets hacked in under two minutes, and they make fun of someone else, that's where they've crossed the line.

I for one say we all get together and then go spam a bunch of Mac Fanboy forums. That'd be fun to do.

Whose with me? We need at least 300...
