[SOLVED] Windows Operating System in startup?

In Windows Vista, going to the start menu, msconfig in the search bar, startup, you see "Windows Vista Operating System."

It seems kind of odd they'd include the operating system in the startup... What happens if you disable it?

EDIT: Upon looking, I noticed that a SECOND entry is in the Startup there that says the same thing. The second one has something to do with Windows Media Player, the first one, I don't know. Here's a screenie for everyone. The reason I'm using Windows Classic Theme on Windows Vista is because I broke my video card last night, and the new one I put in that is years old sucks. It dropped the PC rating from 3.4 to 1.0, and can't do Aero either. So, I reverted to this since it's faster.

I don't either, and this is a fresh install. Have you recently scanned for malware?

That is not normal. For I don't have it on either the desktop or the notebook.

probably caused by programs you have installed.

Ah, you use Media Center?

ehtray is a media center process, if I remember correctly it deals with IR stuff (the remote control)

Then the other is Media Player, which must be running for Media Center to work.

lol i have that also.. same as nathan.. i'm too lazy to to disable.. hehe... don't really care.. not effecting by much at all.

This is indeed correct (though I'm not certain on which portion of Media Center the ehtray service handles).

If you never launched Media Center, you won't have these entries.

I did just to see what'd happen and what it was like, but I've since removed it from the startup.
