Default Windows Skydrive

I was looking at some of the features my Windows Live account has. I saw this, it looks interesting but I'm kind of curious if anyone uses it before I start to use it. Has anyone used it before?

Yeah, every now and then. It was mostly for transferring stuff between school and home..until my school blocked it...

It's pretty nice.

It looks interesting, I want to use it for my friends who live overseas so we can transfer music and pictures back and forth.

Check out Xdrive, I've used that before. It works well tell, I think it gives you 5gb free storage. I'm not saying SkyDrive is bad, I've just never used it so I'm recommending what I have.

I've actually heard some good things about Windows Skydrive, although I never have used it myself.

I could buy hosting and do that.
I don't care about any other sites just if someone has used Windows Skydrive.
Unless you have something to say about Skydrive, don't post because it's pointless.

Skydrive is nice because it allows you to have both private and public folders to share files with. The uploads are pretty fast. I haven't used any other uploading sites for files so I can't compare but I can tell you I like skydrive and don't have any problems with it

Wow.. super old news. It took long enough for you to figure out skydrive actually exist. LOL

I have been a loyal skydrive user since day 1 when it was introduced. Back then, it only had 512mb of storage spacein limited location around the world.

Skydrive is actually a far better file hosting website than any other file webhosting website.

Pros:
1. Super amazing awesome fast upload and download speed. I have personally never reached the upload and download limit. I have 5mbit/s internet connection and my neightbour has 20mbit/s connection.
2. 5Gb of free space
3. You can embed your download files into forums, facebook etc
4. Drag and drop upload
5. Allow downloaders to post comments
6. Private folders are allowed

Cons:
1. You need a .net passport. It isn't really a con for me because I have this .net passport 6 years ago and still have it right now. Basically, if you use msn messneger or hotmail/live mail you have .net passport.
2. Only supported in 26 countries in the world i believe. It's not really a con because most of us live in north america.
3. You cannot move files from skydrive from folder to folder.

Sorry I don't lurk Hotmail. I've seen it for a while, just never payed much attention to it.

But thanks for the pros&cons on it. I have something to go by now.

The bad thing about SkyDrive is the 50MB per file limit. I have a FileFront that is slow and tedious, and ad-filled, but the files there are large (Install CDs).
