This is great and bad.

Obviously Microsoft realized it had F****ed up Vista so its making a new one already.

But, This looks like its going to take a kick A$$ graphics card to run.

Like I said before, Windows 7 is going to be optimized for cheap, small laptops like the EeePC. On an unrelated note, the official reveal of Windows 7 is happening right now. Engadget is blogging it.

All Microsoft really showed off was the multi-touch in Windows 7 which I personally think is overemphasized by people. Looking at the videos released (just one I think) it shows someone organizing pictures and making them big and small but I just think that makes it harder to organize. I'd rather have nice rows of thumbnails than do all the multi-touch.

It's cool but impractical I think

Fake or not, it looks like Linux and Microsoft got together to have a kid, and are using Mac as the surrogate mother. Kinda cool though. Here's to hoping that it's actually real, and that they'll actually be able to implement WinFS.

We can only hope that Microsoft will actually work on the mechanics of the operating system itself,and not on how pretty it is. Yeah, fat chance.....
