I'm not sure what your price range is, but this is a really good HP with 4 Gigs RAM, intel quad core for 900 dollars. It's a great computer for the price and will probably last you a while.

Here's one with similar stats but its cheaper by 200 dollars

If you live by a Fry's or Microcenter, go to those places, pick up parts, and build it yourself, the total will be cheaper and better probably.

i'll give you the answer to it, not really, 8500gt won't do much. you need at least 8600gt-8800gt for gaming mainly... i'll say go with a computer that has a 8800gt or self build it.. for cheaper price.

What kind of gaming?

I would recommend this, test it out with the games you play, if you need more power, get an 8800GT and a new PSU.

If you don't need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, or speakers, I can show you the exact computer I am building. Upside: Save a ton of money, Extremely fast computer, above average for Gaming. Downside: You have to build it yourself. It's not that bad, but there are risks involved in building your computer.

well you can go with any computer you want, but for gaming, you'll need to buy a video card yourself mainly maybe off newegg or somewhere.. if your planning to buy a computer from stores.. then just go with the acer you listed.. then upgrade the power supply along with the video card and your ready to game
