Uninstall an OS?

How? im dual booting ubuntu and vista and i wanna get rid of ubuntu cause i use it more on my other compu

is it in a partion? if so.. just put in your window OS disc.. and then...
delete that partion..

Even if you delete it you will probably need to use the Windows Vista Error Recovery (boot with the disc) to rewrite the Master Boot Record so it gets rid of Grub.

Use the Ubuntu disc to repartition the partitions back into one, erasing the linux one. Then do the above part.

You can format it off, but it leaves the GRUB on. THAT is something I NEVER figured out how to get rid of.

Then I realized Windows sucks and I should stick with Ubuntu. But, here's a guide for GRUB removal if you format the partition Ubuntu is on:

You need to go into the BIOS and set the CD to be the first device to boot, put the hard drive second.
Do you have Windows installed already? If so, boot from the CD, enter the recovery console (press R when it asks you whether you want to install windows etc.) When you're at the console, type:

fixmbr

and that will remove GRUB from your system.

If you don't have Windows installed, GRUB will be overwritten as part of the installation.

Get the free version of this, then select what partion you want to delete.

He still has to reinstall the Master Boot Record (MBR) or else Grub will still be there as Grub is a MBR that overwrites the Windows MBR.
