OK, Gow what's NCSA Mosaic?
And I'm not a fanboy or fan really. I analyzed all of the current browsers and chose the one that bet fit my needs. Security, modibilty, speed, GUI

Well Firefox, its highly compatible with most (almost all) sites, and it's fairly lean and efficient, fast and sturdy.. It may not be the "best" browser, but it gets the job done with ease, and it's levels beyond the mac browser, and IE.. I'm not a huge fan of konquerer because I'm rarely on linux, and firefox is for mac, windows, linux, unix, etc. (including sun)

Ok, but why'd you use that? It's so ugly looking.

Internet Explorer 8 looks like it'll be a huge step up with standards compliance - should be pretty nice ^^

Microsoft also fixed a lot of holes with IE 7; I personally don't think it's much more vulnerable than Firefox.

With IE 8 and Firefox 3, both browsers will become standards compliant...something Opera has been since version 8 or 9.

I was just being facetious about the NCSA Mosaic browser. More of the test of internet knowledge than anything...guess I will webcrawl to bed.

I like Firefox beta 3, Opera 9, and Flock 1.01 <3

Flock is of course based off of Firefox, very slick. Once they add Hotmail notifications it is CINCHED for me and it will be my default browser.

Firefox is awesome. I'm running Firefox 3 beta 4. I tried out an earlier beta but it wasn't very stable. It's works great now though. I have to live without most of my add-ons though.

I've only ever used Internet Explorer, and have never tried Firefox

Why does everyone use FireFox?

Many people switched to Firefox back around the time IE was still version 6 and Firefox had tabbed browsing. Now its just more a preference thing of using what they have gotten used to. Ask the same batch years back and they would have said IE or Netscape.

Yep... If i had IE6, and Firefox, i would've chose firefox. But now i have IE 8, i'm never going back to the old FF. The IE8 is much cleaner than FF right now in my opinion.
