Read before you torrent

Most of you know that mediadefender emails were leaked a while ago... well, I finally downloaded them. Here's the list (from them) of their most effective "trap sites".

Well, this is what Mediadefender hits the most. I grabbed these sites straight from over 600MB of emails, and i have tons of more domain names that i could place here.

yeah i heard about this from my friend, i stopped using ISOHUNT, and MININOVA like a long time ago...thanx for the info RoBB4248....i download off DEMONOID!!

useing any of the sites is just as risky as another

Sucks... I've known I should avoid IsoHunt, but I figured it might be safer if I used PeerGuardian.
You say they're tracking downloads of the .torrent files themselves?

I used Torrentspy all the time...

though since I became a TorrentLeech member I havn't gone on, but TS is where I've got all my torrents for the last year or so

crap, i used mininova like three days ago because they had something demonoid didnt. Im gonna go delete all my .torrent files

That wont do much deleting the .torrent files. They are scanning peoples computers for torrent files.

Not quite. The benefit of using the 'private' sites, is that most, if not all of them have (legal) disclaimers designed to protect the users and whatnot.

Also, the bots on the sites are just trying to log IPs and get other info., so if you have to use them, get Peerguardian or something similar.
