Help archiving CDs, then convert to Zune

I am a Zewbie, so bare with me.

I want to archive all of my CD's on a PC and then place them on the Zune 120.

I initially wanted to download CD's to FLAC (Zune doesn't support, or have hack to support).

So, how should I go about doing this? I want high quality on the Zune, maybe a VBR MP3?

What software should I use? I've been thinking about Introduction » Exact Audio Copy

is there something faster I could use?

If you want Lossless then just rip the CDs with Windows Media Player into WMA Lossless.

I forgot to mention that much of my collection is downloaded live shows (from "tapers") via archive.org that is in FLAC format (can download fresh in VBR MP3, this is supported, right?).

If I run out of room with lossless, what should I use to convert WMA Lossless to a high bitrate (or VBR) MP3?
