The problem with Cucusoft is that if you convert a Widescreen movie into fullscreen, it scrunches the entire movie so everything looks extremely thin... Though the newest version of Cucusoft may have solved this problem. Other than that, for fullscreen movies, it worked well.

EDIT: I downloaded the trial version, and it has support for widescreen DVDs... Just create a new profile and change the Video Size to 320x180.

Thumbs up RE: Best Dvd to Zune Converter

I use wondershare. Have used it with over 50 dvd's, did not have a problem with any of them. It will work faster with a better processor because my friend has a dual-core processor an it worked faster then with my intel celeron m cpu. It has some good features and a handy trial mode so you can decide whether it's right for you.

nero 7 work great for me and I use DVD43 to strip copyright. You can also change the files size to whatever you want. Just use the recode on the nero software, plus you can play back the movies on your 360 and they look really good.

I'll toss in another vote for DVDfab Platinum. The newest version has a specific DVD to Zune menu choice with all kinds of edits for size, picture quality, audio quality, etc. This software is constantly updated and has never met a DVD it could not rip.

I use DVD decryptor to rip the DVD, then I encode using Microsoft Expression Encoder 2. Gives me the best results imo.

Not sure why you guys have issues with cucusoft. The audio is always in sync for me, and once it even fixed a video that was originally out of sync and when I got the output file it was in sync again. The only time the picture gets "scrunched" is when its a 720p or higher video and of course its going to scrunch it a little bit, no biggy really..

Cucusoft usually works for me. The only problem that I've run into is, for some reason, I can't get it to convert mp4's even if they were converted using the same software. To be honest though, I really haven't tried anything else.

It just pisses me off that I have to pay 40 bucks for one of the easy ones like dvdfab. I have been trying all the freeware ones but I can't get any of them to work. I have the DVDfab trial version and it seems to work great except all my movies have a black boarder all the way around them. Not sure if that is part of the trial thing or what.
