WinRAR file help

A long time ago I made a WinRAR file with a bunch of videos, then I stored the file away thinking that I would never need it again. For some reason I password protected the file and forgot the password. Does any one know if there is a way to somehow access those files without a password? I heard of a technique called "brute-forcing" but I have no idea how to do that. I also tried some free-downloads off of CNET but you pretty much have to pay to get anything out of those, and I really dont want to spend my money on something that might not work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Brute forcing is pretty much the only way with rar files, .zip files are a bit easier.

i have tried a few ways to crack Rar files and its hard but Justan has probably the easiest way.

Brute force is just about the only way. I myself have searched for ways to crack .rar's, but I haven't found a single free program yet; any of the shareware limits itself to three characters or something equally ridiculous.
