Default [SOLVED] HD help xD

well lately, my portable WD external 2.5" 120gb hard drive had a power surge.. now when i plug it in... it shows 0 bytes instead of 111gb.... i wonder if theres a fix for it?

would i have to pay...? if so.. i rather ask for my warranty since i only brought it less than 3 months ago at Target.. which has WD warranty.

Ok, I'd go to the western digital website and request a return. They'll do all you need to do.
But you might have to send it in. (they most likely won't give you a box)

... i only paid $30 for the HD at Target.. and paying $100 to recover data? which the data i have no need.. but just that the HD seems to be dead....

NVM... it doesn't work on my desktop after the power surge.. i just tried it on my laptop.. and it still works fine.. confusing though..

If it doesn't work on the desktop the desktop USB ports could be bad. Or something is wrong in with the software.

Most of them only allow you to see the things you could recover. Yet you have to buy the software to actually recover them.
