mkv file help

any one have any clue how i can convert this. i have concusoft but it tells me i need a coec then i download codecs and nothign happens

You will need a converter that can handle matroska files. I think I did get cucusoft to convert matroska container files once by using Vista Codec Pack http://shark007.net/

Uninstall the other codec packs before installing the VCP. The other codec pack that you could try is CCCP http://cccp-project.net/

Basically since Cucusoft uses a codec driven encoder the computer just needs the right codecs to overrule the Cucusoft ones and it should be able to read and convert matroska.

ffdshow codec or klite codec pack should do the trick.

The problem with K-Lite is that they shove too many codecs into a pack and cause conflict. CCCP is recommended as they adjust their codec pack to meet standards set by the fansubbing groups. It also sets registry entries through a control panel so that you can have it automatically set up to be used.

Vista C. Pack was suggested as I have used it with Cucusoft and it seemed to get the job done.

is there a way to get rid of all my codecs and start over cause ive downloaded so many trying to fix this problem that im buried in codecs

First use the Uninstall Process in your Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
