Default [SOLVED] New Laptop! (problems)

Well i just got a new laptop well its used but its was for very cheap. So it had a password originally (owner forgot it) and well i thought hmm not that hard to just reformat. So then i got a hold of Windows XP professional installation. And at first it looked like it was gonna work so i had no worries.

But all of a sudden it pops up with the screen saying "no harddrive found" which is crazy since it does have a hard drive, i think i mightve screwed that up by going to the bios and starting something called Disk Sanitizer. It cleans out the HD.

The computer is:

Compaq / HP
NX9420

100 gig harddrive.
1024 or 1 gig ram.
Centrino Duo.

Anythoughts on what i could do..?

Any GOOD help will be returned with a cash reward possibly!

Thank you please contact me on aim or pm me on zB.

I think he deleted his MBR structure while attempting to erase the HD during the reformat. As to how he did this with the XP disk I have no idea but I think it had something to do with the disk sanitizer thing he was talking about.
