Still having problems with Cucusoft DVD converter

I haven't been able to get my cucusoft dvd to zune converter to work ever since I bought my computer running vista home basic almost a year ago.
I've emailed customer support three times and never got a satisfactory answer. I should have posted here a long time ago, but better late than never, right?

The program opens fine. I click "Open DVD" and select the DVD drive. It starts to fast-forward to the menu, and then it always freezes and crashes.

Has anyone else had this problem? Do you have any ideas as to how I can fix it?

Try one of the freeware converters in my signature.

So just give up?
I bought the darn program and I want to be able to use it!
It says it's supposed to work with Vista.

Then demand a refund from Cucusoft, or see if they'll upgrade you to a newer version for free. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

You could also reinstall windows.

I bought it too. I never could get the DVD function to work although the converter works great. It has a lifetime upgrade policy so I marked the DVD function as a loss until it works.

I use a few of the freeware converters like Handbrake or Staxrip.

i had a similar problem with cucusoft, but i just went to the cucusoft website, redownloaded the software and it works great...fast, too.

I managed to get a little farther by deselecting the automatic menu search and automatic record features. Now it looks like it's recording, except that it's really slow, and the output file is blank (but there). I don't get it.
