Linux for PSP?

I want to put linux on my PSP, but is there an easy way how? Alot of the places i looked at on google were kinda random and out there.

So, if you can find an easy way to do it, plz halp meh!

You can put linux on ANYTHING with a processor of some sort. There's a guy who put linux on his digital watch. But there's alot of people who have already done this with their psp's.

i mainly don't see much linux for psp atm.. only seen window on it.. but its a fake.. retarded way of window since i tried.. lol... why linux anyways?

Why not?

Really, its because it would be awesome. I dont really use it much since
A. Its a first gen
B. The DS is addictive
C. Not really playing handhelds that much anymoore.

did you even hack your psp yet? if so.. it should be better than the DS once its hacked.... :S

My friend is currently running Vista on his psp

uhh.. maybe no? vista not available for psp besides the one that any psp can use which usually is the file that shows up as a fake vista.. with background and a calculator thingy.. but nothing else you can do on it.. so its useless

Its most likely you saw a portal (you can get XP, Vista, even iPhone ones).

All it is, is a simple web page that directs you to apps/games when you click certain icons. I've done it a few times its nothing special and also you need to keep clearing the cache.

No you cannot put linux on your PSP. I have a PSP with custom firmware that I currently am selling on ebay. You can emulate linux on the PSP but it is so extremely slow it does nothing. From what I've read in the past it is impossible to run linux on the PSP because processor is not capable of some operations (some math ones). It also does not have a math co processor, so you cannot boot the linux kernel on it. So sorry, you're out of luck. I'm not going to advertise my PSP auction here, but if anyone is interested they could PM me. DS is the better choice for running linux.
