Does the Connect do podcast subscriptions over Wifi? I didn't think it did, which is why I didn't mention it.

It can basically do whatever a comptuer does, but does it slower.

It can decode videos, audios on the fly meaning no converting necessary.

You can surf the web, download podcast and play it via windows media player 11 mobile.

You can surf and download it via, wireless B, Bluetooth, 3G(SDIO Now addon card), mobile internet (via cellphone connected hooked up with bluetooth).

It's discontinued a year ago, but you still can get it for under $200.

Correct. You (currently) can Not download Podcasts though the iTunes Touch/iPhone app. The best you can do is Stream the podcast over the WiFi from the podcast's website.
