Default [SOLVED] C: Drive

I am only getting around to post for help about this, because I am completely stumped after trying to fix it for 2 months. My computer thinks the C: drive is Zune Setup, and i have to Right Click, Open to get to the C: Drive

I have no more methods of removing this properly so I ask you for help

It is not a major issue, but it is VERY ANNOYING

Thanks

Nothing seems to be wrong, except for the fact when you click it, it runs Zune Setup

(This is just my bedroom computer, not much on it)

Well, i don't want to do that if it might screw it up. I have two 2GB Kingston USBs that had the same trojan virus on them and some stuff in Korean, reformatted them and they were fine, but the thing is i want the reformat to be a last resort, but i shall try to delete it, last time it said I did not have the privelege to delete it yet I am Administrator...

First and formost, you need to run a full system scan for Viruses and Spyware. (I use AVG anti virus and ad aware for spyware) then See if you can download a program called TuneUp Utilities. You should be able to get a 30 day, fully functional copy from their website (just google it). You're going to want to run a few different tools...

1 Click Mantenance
Drive Defrag
Disk Doctor
Registry Defrag

after the registry defrag shut down and restart then run the 1 click maintenance again.

If this doesn't work then you're probably going to reload the OS. I use thsi program a lot at work after dumb ass end users infect/currupt their computers and it's pretty good at getting all the problems but ocassionally...

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.[/

Wow is everyone seeing the same drive picture that I am?

I clearly see an "autorun" .inf sitting in the root directory of his C: drive. This would lead the drive to think that every time you try to double click it, you have to execute as directed by the autorun.

Darren, you see that file named autorun in your C: drive root? Just delete that and you will be fine.

It still launches

It not a major issue but is annoying

Defrag was successful, but nothing changed with it, and according to my comp there is no such thing as ScanDisc

Did you restart it after removing the autorun file?

Normal restart had no effect, so I restored the file, re-deleted it and tried the run command shutdown /r just in case, and that worked

Thanks Tobo, Marshillboy and everyone else contributing their help
