Default Should a Zube be able to turn on when it is connected to a computer?

When I connect my Zune to the computer it will not turn on (i.e. be able to see the main menu screen with video, music, photos selections etc), but the screen does say 'Connected'. Are you supposed to be able to turn the Zune on when it is connected. It does sync and download stuff but if I wanted to hook up to someone else´s computer to play a video on a larger screen, this does not seem possible. Should I be able view stuff from my Zune on any computer that has Zune software installed?

You can look through the device if the software is not running
I dont think you can play the stuff on the zune on someone else's computer, but you could try the ZuneHdPatch
to see the files in explorer(must be patched on his computer) and i think you can play it like that or copy it to his compture
or simply right click the video you want to play and click copy to collection, find it in the software and play it like that(this is the easiest way)

OK... so in short, you can't actually look through the Zune main menu while connected???

Thanks again for the ultra fast reply. YOU ROCK!

Not while the Zune says connected, you just need to close out of the Zune software to be able to navigate on the device.
