Default [SOLVED] Getting Netgear Card to work with openSUSE

OK, so I'm trying to get my friends laptop to work with his Netgear Card. It worked great with Ubuntu, but now it wont run on openSUSE

It's a Netgear WG511T, and i think he has openSUSE 10.3 (maybe 10.1)

HELP PLZ!?!11

Ubuntu and openSUSE 10.3 have different drivers that they use. So that's why the card doesn't work. You could go to the Netgear website and see if they have openSUSE 10.3 drivers for his card. If they don't, installing a driver for the operating system, but for a different card often works.

Should have gone PCLinuxOS and no problems with drivers plus being able to use a four button mouse with scroll wheel. Ah well, its marked as solved unless you need more answers along this line of questioning.

This is known to happen allot with linux. If your are using it, you have to stick to the main versions, otherwise you won't be able to get drivers.
