Angry Multi Extension Support in v2 w/ 1st gen zune.

I have a first gen zune, and have kept my upgrades recent on the software and firmware ends of it.

To use all video types, i had previously added the multi-extension support hack to my original z1 software and it worked perfectly.

Before installing the z2 software i removed the reg entries and then installed.

The supposed auto conversion does not work. I havent seen any new hacks on the net or information regarding a similar problem.

Now i have no video support aside from the types the z2 software comes set for...

at microsofts request, i uninstalled all the zune software and installed it. While that was a wonderful waste of a day, it did not result in my viewing of videos but instead STILL being limited. I even tried to multiextension hack in the z2 software, but to no avail either.

An interesting problem is driving me into severe anger. Please help, because microsoft obviously cant and is probably happy people cant view media types that dont have their precious seal of approval upon it.

The Hacks and Mods team are working on Multi-Extension support for the new software. In the meantime you can convert the video using the free tool Encode360 Link. Not only will the files be picked up by the software but they can be converted to be sync ready as well.

If you are just wanting to watch the movies and not sync/convert them than there are a multitude of video player programs out there that can do this.

Free ones are:
Zoom Player Standard
VLC Player
Gom Player
Media Player Classic

Be patient with the H&M team because like last time they didn't have the hack done right off the bat it will take a while to hack the software, which is entirely new this time unlike last time with it being based on Windows Media Player 11's code.
