Question 2 questions


ok i have 2 questions:

1. if a computers max ram is 2gb, can you just replace the motherboard, or is it more than that?

2. how do you replace a processor? is it just pop out your old one and put in the new and install the driver, or what?

It's according to what you want to spend.... You could replace the MB but you have to look at the whole picture... IF you MB is so old it only supports 2 GB then your processer is going to be old... also the expansion slots - no PCI-X atleaset... and your probely using IDE drives... meaning a newer mother board with more memory is going to open a whole world of problems (SATA only, AGP 8X or PCIx, diffrent socket)if that is all you want to upgrade... now you might find a refurbished or used borad that will accept more but thats another risk in it self... save up for the new PC

1. Its not worth it.

2.You need the same socket type, no drivers needed.

I think you can get up to 4Gb putting in 2 2Gb ram cards

have no idea about the processor

His mobo. dosent support more than 2GB total though.
