Videos not adding to collection
Wasn't sure where to post this but since it took Microsoft Techs over an hour to figure it out, figured tech help. I loaded the 2.2 firmware a few weeks ago. I had added a couple of videos and they wouldn't go into the collection. They were all mp4's. I tried converting them to wmv but no difference. I tried changing directories around. I tried going into settings and unmonitoring and remonitoring the directories. I tried clearing everything out and reloading. All that would come back were those in my system prior to the firmware update. I finally called Microsoft and the first person I got (from India by the accent) spent a hour with me but with no success. She was very polite but we basically tried everything I already did. She raised me to "level 2". I got a Canadian this time (based on the accent, aye). She had be try a clean reboot with everything disabled thinking it might be my Norton or something else blocking entry into the collection. No luck. Next she had me go into the registry, disable the DRM, go to a microsoft site and reload DRM software and all of a sudden, the missing videos appeared. In case anyone else experiences this problem, hope this helps!
