How did you find out you had a keylogger on your computer?
What anti-virus software are you using?
Have you tried Kaspersky or Eset's NOD32?

Lastly, what operating system are using?

Choose one, download it, install it, update virus definition, run scan. Problem should be solved unless it is contaminated beyond repair.

Free Anti-virus solutions:

Some more possibly helpful software:

Keylogger Detector: Link
Mehrad Anti-virus (Detects Trojans, Rootkits, Keyloggers, etc.): Link
a-squared Free: Link
Blurb about a-squared:
Quote:
Security must not be a privilege. Under this motto, Emsi Software provides the Malware scanner a-squared Free completely free of charge for private use. But it is not a very limited version, it is a full tool to clean your computer from Malware. Not only Spywares, as detected by classic Anti-Spyware programs, but also especially Trojans, Backdoors, Worms, Dialers, Keyloggers and a lot of other destructive pests, which makes it dangerous to surf the web.
These three free tools come courtesy of Astalavista.net Security, guys/gals who specialize in this sort of stuff. They are three free tools that are under their tool section.

Now, what might we learn from this experience?

1. Don't download suspect files.
2. Don't visit suspect sites.
3. Update your webbrowser.
4. Always have a Anti-Virus solution for any computer connected to the internet.
5. For safe measure ensure you have at least one good anti-spyware program, for a double safe measure have two.

The best in the field is Eset NOD32 but that will set you back $50 ducats for a 2 year subscription. As for the free stuff its a mish mash. There should be plenty of online reviews on the free stuff and I am sure a couple of people on the forum might respond eventually but I would go with a Scroogle/Google search for a review. Although I would wager Bitdefender is probably near the top of the heap for AV protection in the free category since their pay solution is usually near the top of the heap.

Ive never heard of any of those, use ClamWin and Spyware Terminator and enable system protection with that combination you are pretty much guaranteed to be Virus Free. Both are free and I find them better than any of the commercial programs I have used. The best thing about these programs is that they use almost no resources, and do not sacrifice security. Now If you have some money buy NOD32 and that will serve for anything you need protection from it includes a firewall, Rootkit removal and protection as well as Viruses and Spyware even Keyloggers as well. I will not post a link to get that as you should pay for your programs so the people that make them earn the money they deserve.
