Default Grafix Card Help

Hey is there such thing as a type of graphics card? I'm getting a computer that I know has a PCIe slot. Does that mean that any graphics card will work? I need one that will run WoW and UT2004 well.

The one that comes w/ the motherboard can handle wow fine. For better results get like a 8600GTS they are around $130 if you look around.

The on-board card I have on this computer is pretty not good to say the least and it's able to handle WoW, or it did when I played. Just make sure you have enough RAM.

I like the 8600 gts but i would spend an extra 75-100 bucks to get the 8800 because of the fact that u pretty much have to have a card like this to run the new games at full resolution, detail, ect... i was on the same subject about 2 months ago when i was building my pc, i decided to go with the 8800... then later on you can always upgrade to two 8800's =]

Well idk if he would really need to go that far. I would say for your needs the on board gfx should be fine. I would highly recommend using the 8600GTS though since it is kinda that middle of the ground gfx card cheap but good, and can give you at least some game support.
