Duh! It's Microsoft! They're still being tutored by the FOSS as to what 'simple' actually means.

On-topic: I tried playing Zune videos on the tv once, using a cable that surprisingly came with a speaker set (for the ipod :O). Didn't work.

I think I'll just end up picking up a different one.

Best wishes!

Go to Best Buy and grab Dynex brand cables for Zune/iPod. They are only worth it if you intend to watch shows on a TV and are only worth it for the Zune 30/4/8.

The Zune 80 is a different beast as it can display videos up to the resolution of 720x480 (aka DVD resolution size) and require the dock that outputs component. For the 80 if you intend to watch the Zune on TV it is worth grabbing the dock.

I bought a cheap AV cable from ebay,
It was cheap and it worked perfectly!
You should try searching on ebay for "zune AV Cable"

So if the dock is capable of 720x480, what is the composite cable's highest capable resolution? Thanks in advance~

On the Zune 80 the highest resolution should be the same through composite as it is through component but I am absolutely certain about it. Either way it should display in the Zune 80's capable range with either cable, I just think with the component method it can be progressive instead of interlace.
