Default Excel Question.

how would i make it so that if a cell(say h22 for the example) is a specific number(27) the whole sheet changes. Basically I want conditional formating that affects the whole sheet, but only relys on 1 or 2 cells for the conditional formating. on 2007 if it maters.

Put a # in cell A1 for example. then in cell A2, put =A1+1 for a formula. then in cell A3, put A2+1 and so on. the +1 can be anything (like -5, divided by 6, 150% etc.) Then if you change A1, all the other cells will change.

no, what I want is a conditional formating where if a cell = a specific # then all the cells get a red fill color

Im making a "who is this" quiz(blurred faces, guess who they are) the formulas are IF(A3="","",IF(A3="Joe","Correct","Incorrect")) the formula may be a little of as its from memory, and for my score keeping I plan to use COUNTIF(A1:J40,"Correct") the score can go to 30, so my plan is to make the whole sheet go red(or other formating) if the score is 30.

If he has an example see if you can get a copy of that example on a disc/usb stick and transfer to your home computer to mess with and figure it out. Myself I am not an excel aficionado but I am a Power Point Ranger.

I'm guessing that your doing some kind of finance sheet.

What you do is go to format->conditional formatting

then change "between" to less then.. then type 0

then format it so if the the cell is below 0 it will turn red. (BTW thats in excel 03)

If i'm doing something complete different, give some more information on what your trying to do.
