So a new show by joss Whedon just started 2 weeks ago last Friday. (He is the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly)
The show is obviously called Dollhouse.
The Plot summary : The show follows an organization that employs mind-wiped DNA-altered humans known as Dolls who are implanted with false memories and skills for various missions and tasks. When they are not 'at work' they are living in a real life Dollhouse which gives the show the name. One of those mind-wiped humans, a young woman named Echo, is slowly starting to become aware of herself and what's going on - all the while somebody on the outside is trying to bring the Dollhouse down while getting closer to Echo - possibly not aware that she is one of the Dolls he is after.
So far the show has been pretty good and the plots are not half bad. I hope they don't ruin it by turning this show into another "pretty person show or ambercrombie and Finch add".
Dollhouse has the potential to be a real good show that might just make past season 2.
So do any of you watch it and what do you think about the show?
So far, it just doesn't seem to have his signature on it, it's like someone who's not Joss Wheden trying to make a show like Joss Wheden. It seems to mostly be showcasing Eliza Dushku to this point, which is certainly more than bearable. I expect it to pick up once they get deeper into the plot lines, and more stuff is revealed. I seem to remember Buffy starting off kind of slow in the early episodes, so maybe we'll get more of a Joss Wheden feel to this show, and it will click more, as the season goes on.
I didn't watch any of Joss Whedon's previous shows but I'm slowly starting to get into Dollhouse. This past episode was pretty good and it was not as superfical as the previous episodes have been.
