Mmm
It is a very good show.
I hear they're bringing Monk and Psych to NBC.

It's awesome. Too bad the next season is PROBABLY the last one.

Yeah, It'll be it's 7th season

This last season, kind of lost it's "Monkoscity", or the magic from the old seasons

Well, actually, the series could be going into its last season simply because it's getting expensive to make. As a network executive, why pay the Monk actors and staff a lot of money when you could stick an established show like Psyche in its spot and put a new show after Psyche and make the same money?

Or the Monk people want to move onto something else, seven years a along time for a guy to find his wife's killer

Why would they end it, though? Tony Shaloub (Gawd, I most likely tore that up =/ ) has gotten quite a few awards for it. And it's not like he's looking for Trudy's killer all episode, every episode. He works on different crimes. Crime is always happening, which is why some crime dramas, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, CSI, are still running after many years.

I do love Monk. Monk and Psych both are refreshing and very humorous change-ups to your average police shows.

No, I read an article online, I think it was on IGN (here it is:http://tv.ign.com/articles/853/853397p1.html). The last couple of sentences explain how the show has gotten pricey. I typically base my statements on fact, not just my own speculation.

Money. Each episode of Monk is watched by a couple of million people, I believe. If the network executives believe they can still maintain good ratings by having Psyche and a new show, for overall less of a cost, then they'd probably consider doing that. Those crime dramas you mentioned have FAR more viewers and thus have so much appeal for advertisers, they couldn't be as easily replaced as a more modest show like Monk. Again, everything is about money.

It would be nice if things weren't about money

The Monk series has its own books (among other things)

Psych doesn't have a book series

So if it came down to the two of them, I'd rather lose Psych

I agree. Too bad we're not the network executives.

Actually, I was referring to all the power and women we would have. And oodles and oodles of cash.
