I've noticed when I joined that this board doesn't have flash support. sure, it has youtube support, but no flash support. With flash support, people can design their own signatures, and instead of taking up megabytes and megabytes of users bandwidth, they can instead load a 200kb file in the background to display not only a fluid running signature, but also potential to be interactive! users can display their entire bio with the click of a button!

and it's not only signatures that users would benefit!

For big presentations in threads, like Released games, and forum games, and such, users can display a presentation of the game, or how the forum game works, and have it all running fluid and professional, instead of making hundreds of custom images to fit together to work with your text!

And, if you look at my other thread here, then you'll probably see how users can benefit from the stores for this situation. For people who don't have Adobe Flash, The people who do (theres a lot out there), can set up stores and charge small amounts of ZB for customized signatures!

I don't see why autoplaying wouldn't end up in a permanent ban, unless [AP] is appended to the thread title

EDIT: well, what I mean, is Audio playing and stuff like that considered autoplaying without a button to start it before it starts.

If it works out the way it did with LOTS of forums I used to use, then it will be no different than loading an Animated GIF image, unless you have a button that users can click to play music, show a Bio, or pull up a menu with your favorite sites and usernames there. It's an awesome feature, and I know I could set up a shop to provide people with good looking signatures

The thing with flash is the forums would load much slower. We used to allow flash Zune Cards, but that slowed down the forums alot.

Most people who think a site is taking too long to load will just leave.

There's an option in your CP to not display images in posts/signatures/etc. It's quite useful.

All forums I've been a part of do not allow flash in posts signatures.
It would be useful, yes, but the disadvantages outweigh the advantages

so true. and im also along with marsh. i would hate that just because of the load times.
