Question about the forum.

Firstly, great job you guys. This place is blowing up! I check daily (hourly at times :p) for new info.

Now, what does the REP mean next under the avatar? I mean, i understand it goes up... but how and why? I was just curious (i saw there was a + and - under it for a hot minute, but now thats gone).

Rep stands for "reputation." You can add rep points to other members... the more you have, the better.

I apologize, i worded my question wrong. I mean, i understand what rep is... i was just wondering how to get it. Is that something a mod adds? or is it added by another user? If its added by another user, how could i add a point to someone? (there used to be a "+" and "-" under rep for a short time, but i dont see that now.)

Nope, thats what it looked like for a short time. Now, directly under peoples rep, is their online/offline status. No rep buttons at all.

You cant rep yourself, so you wont have a plus/minus next to your name. Unless you are a certain somebody on the site :p

Heh, us admins. can't rep. ourselves either, But we can go into our profiles and just add it..

It was a small permission regarding the rep. system. There was a minimum post requirement to use it, so I lowered it a bit.

Well, that was weird. I dont know if it was a user end or forum end problem, but either way, now its fixed. For a while there, no one had the +/- rep buttons under their name... thats why i was questioning it. Now, they're all there (cept under my own name :p)
