ZuneBoards v2?

Hey, I was bouncing this idea around with David and Dragod and a good idea came along.

I was suggesting ZuneBoards needs a facelift. There's been some discussion of what ZuneBoards lacks, and I was thinking it may be a good idea to change our image a bit.

I think it was Dragod who made the observation that a revamp of the site would go great with the release of the new Zunes.

Is there a way to spice this place up a bit?
I really don't know what that would entale and if it's even possible.

Whaddaya think people? Suggestions?

Yeah, but I think we need more than 2 skins.

Another idea I had was to get a few more staff to get the community more involved here, instead of nonstop leeching.

Hmm.. That's weird... We'll let people know if we do decide to get a few people for this. Right now, it's just me throwing out ideas.

I have considered a whole new zB layout, including the homepage. You can expect one near new years... Staff, I'll post some screenshots of what it might look like when I get some more info.

In think we need....
1. More skins
2. More members
3. More uploaders
4. More dedicated members (as in the average posts per member is about 4.5!)
5. A way to keep our members here(not have them quit after 3 days)

That's what we hope to accomplish, Super. We're hoping changes like these would make people want to stay, and people want to post more.

At the same time, you have to expect that many people are only going to come here to download zune format movies. I guess this new layout's going to have to be enticing.

Anybody like the idea of a little flash music player? Gotta have my music. It could even be streaming GHUR.

A working plugin for GHUR would be sweet

I want some zb stickers to win
It would be free advertiseing and stickers are cool. (I picture something kinda like the zumiez stickers)

I don't really see the point of more skins, people only use the default skin, especially when new. If you go to ZS' website, an interesting feature they have is that you can view how many people are using each skin and there are only a few hundred I believe on any of the couple dozen they have, most of which are better than their default, in my opinion.

Yeah, this skin doesn't seem to have gone over well. I think we need to make one skin with everything, easy on the eyes and with the nice eye candy of the new ones. Putis was saying we don't need a darker one because we already have the old skin, however like I said, most people only use the default skin so the default skin should be best.

The main thing I think we need is some forum reorganization, bring to the forefront more discussion forums, most people only come here for downloads, which is good for traffic and member numbers, but bad for downloads. We are currently working on that, but I think re-organizing a bit would help with it.

Yeah, I mean Zune Marketplace is going from drab and dark to brillianly white and colorful. Anyway for us to mirror that in some way?

The light is really really light, and in bothe light and dark they lack colors.

Better shout box would be sweet.

GHUR radio plug in would be the cool.
