Default Which Camera?

I have been an avid photographer for a while now, taking pictures whenever i can but really havent been able to put it to good use without a good camera. I was given a hand-me-down 4-megapixel camera by my mum and used it to its full potential, but having huge shutter lag and blur the size of space my pictures were not up to spec as they couldve been. I then was given a Canon Eos 400D to play with when i was taken out by my school for my art class.

I fell in love. Quick and easy it was, stunning photos and amazing picture detail, colour and quality. And then it got taken away when the day was over.

So the question now is what should i get now? I have decided to go forth with buying a real camera as i know it will come in handy, and im hopefully getting in with a magazine company soon so... =]

Here is what I like so far.
The bigger sister of the 400D, the 450D
Review and spec http://www.trustedreviews.com/digita...digital-SLR/p1

Or the Sony Alpha A350
Review and spec http://www.trustedreviews.com/digita...Alpha-A350-/p1

Any other cameras i should look at in the 300-450 price range please give me some ideas =]

Thanks for looking.

I would go with the 450D/XSi if you have enough money.

400D/XTi is the old version of XSi which was released around 2-3 years ago i think >.> XSi released not long..

edit: also.. my question is.. whats the Currency rate from your place? 300-450 = how much USD?

out of the 2 you choose so far.. i would say the Canon 450D aka XSi.. i also suggest you take a look at the Nikon D60.

I have had a look and i am still drawn to the 450D. Its in my price range and i know the lower model and how well it handled. I trust Canon as they are leading the DSLR market.
