I played from 5th up to 11th grade and I had a blast. Unfortunately our school's new band director enacted what was basically a no fun policy and made marching band unbearable so I gave it up. My horn collected dust for a few years until I went to Ohio State and got to play in the athletic band. We played at basketball, hockey, volleyball, and lots of other cool events. It was amazing fun and I miss it a lot.
