Why Do They Treat Kobe Like God?

ok...i'm honestly tired of bias sportscasters treating Kobe Bryant like he's a god or something...I mean honestly...why do people even want to compare him to the big #23 when he can't even bring home a championship...opinions please?

Two words: IT SELLS.
Kobe is well known. He has obvious talent. People would much rather hear about someone they've already come to respect then someone else.

Sports are as much about money as they are about entertainment.

If that was the case then we would be talking about Lebron James and how I still enjoy his bubble gum or Carmelo Anthony and how I enjoy his Nikes instead.
The only thing that I remember him selling is his own jersey.

It is true that he can't bring home championship. But that's because he's selfish as hell. He wants to do things on his own.
