I am orginially from Pittsburgh (but now live in Charlotte, NC), so I miss my Penguins. But it has been awesome to watch Crosby & Company kick'n some major ice!
I hope they go ALL THE WAY! ![]() ![]() |

Huh? Hockey's still around? That's surprising.

Didn't Florida win the Stanley Cup a year or so ago? I find that funny =D

What? No way. I'm from Florida. I definitely would have heard about that.

Wow, that's funny. I'll be sure to ask one of my friends who actually likes hockey about it.

No, the 2007 Stanley Cup Champs are the Anaheim Ducks.
Hockey is an amazing sport. Once you get hooked, almost no sport can compare to the action. I grew up in Pittsburgh where everyone grows up a Steeler fan -- which I still am. But even though I am a football nut, hockey is so much faster. ![]() |

I heard that the Pens might be moving in a couple of years for another town and more $$$. (I hated to hear it. I'm not even a hockey fan, but the Pens were the first team I ever heard about.)
The 'Canes won it a couple of years ago, but they're over in Raleigh. I still find it odd that college basketball central (UNC, Duke, & NCSU all in or near Raleigh) went totally nuts over a sport that a lot of people, at least in Raleigh, still don't follow regularly. ![]() |

My cousin is the Director of Communications for the Hurricanes -- I have a awesome picture of him holding the Cup on the ice when the 'Canes won. One of my fav hockey players ended his career with the 'Canes (Ron Francis). Raleigh definitely is a college town with regard to its business, culture and sports. All of their industry (pharma, R&D, tech, etc.) is really an extension of university studies. Whereas, here in Charlotte it is more corporate (banking, etc.) oriented. So, sports in Charlotte (Panthers and Bobcats) are funded by corporate sponsorships which professional sports teams love. ![]() |

Well, the Pens did a pretty handy job with the Flyers for the first 2 games. But, now the series is moving to Phili where the Flyers should be stronger.
If the Pens can win one of the 2 games in Phili, I am feeling very confident for them ![]() ![]() |
