hey guys, well i successfully put a new hard drive on my zune 120
afterwards everything was working great it even still had all the memory from before thinking there were still 7000 songs, but giving the error item is missing when i shuffle my list. so i figured all is normal, i renamed the zune, put a few pictures and songs and then put it away because i plan to give it to a friend for a birthday present. so today i got it back out to put a few more things on it. it was dead so i started to charge it after some moments the screen comes up that says....
connect your zune to your pc
followed by
update firmware!
ok so im wure you guys have heard this a million times.... but,
i i tried to update drivers to my zune by connecting it to the zune program.. when i did that the program said you must update the software (i had a pretty old version ) so i clicked update and everytime i would get an error. i read into it on the internet and it said the most common problem is that you need to install windows updates or microsoft updates or something...
anyway windows updates would take me probably 2 or 3 full days to finish i do not have patience for that
so i kept reading and saw update the drivers manually so i tried that.
keep getting this error
so i thought, well maybe i do need to update my software, since i knew i couldnt install the latest software i uninstalled my old software and installed zune 4.0
im having no luck with it at all im at a dead end here and i promise ive read around and clicked old threads and dead links to zune drivers and even see people ask the same questin as me basically with no anwser one persons solution was to click my compuer then manage and change admin settings or something
then the person replyed that it worked, i tried to do the same thing in my vista but couldnt vfigure out how to do it. anyway can someone please help im getting frustrated here my friends birthday is in 2 days
