mg.... mg... mg is the abbreviation for milligrams (1/1000 of a kilogram...) So, I suspect it doesn't work because it is so tiny, the battery would hold a charge good for... oh, maybe 1 ms (one millisecond, or 1/1000 of a second...)

Sounds like the battery is dead. That is the most likely issue, but there are no guarantees. So I suggest that you contact rapidrepair.com and decide if you want their free repair diagnosis. If you do so, you can get them to repair it or buy the battery and use their guide to do it yourself. (This saves you the risk of assuming it's the battery, replacing it, and finding out it is some other costly repair...) pdasmart.com has a similar option.
