Default software syncing question

Hello, i am new to owning a zune so i hope i dont make this question to complicated for you guys,,,
over the past 2 weeks i have added video and music to my zune 120 gb,,,,i deleted all the files off of my laptop,,,,,, now when i open the zune software there arent any pics of the albums or pics of the videos i had,,,,,,so now i am worried about connecting my zune to my laptop because i dont want it to sync with the software and erase everything i have on my zune........on the software i have everything on (manual) under the sync options.

so do i need to be worried about hooking up my zune to my laptop?

will it erase what i have on my zune?

can i add more like i have been to my zune over the past weeks?

for any type of content (music, podcast, etc.) that you have set your sync mode to manual, the zune software will not manage that content. It will not do anything except what you do manually to add or remove content from the device, so yes, connect away without fear. (When you removed that content from the laptop, of course you no longer see it in the zune collection... it's gone...) This also means you risk losing everything if your zune breaks, or you lose it, unless you have a backup of that content...
Manual sync is really there for folks with special requirements or very small hard drives (too small to keep their collection on.) I strongly suggest you look into all or perhaps choose mode, as they are more convenient for virtually everyone... unless you have some special constraint or objective.
