Exclamation Zune HD won't respond

So...here we go.

Lately my ZuneHD started to behave badly: device stop responding, it said that music wasn't on my device anymore, etc.

Now, my device won't start at all. The screen remains black no matter what button combination i try. I tried to reset the device but to no avail.

When i connect the device to my PC, it appears that a "APX driver" is found, but the Zune software still won't recognize my device. After a little bit of investigating, i found out that for some reason, the "APX driver" showing up means my firmware is somehow gone or corrupted.

I managed to install the NvidiaUsb driver and managed to make my device use "nvflash".

I got all i need to re-flash my device except 1 thing: The ZuneHD Firmware.

I think, and i hope that i am able to flash the device, otherwise it's bye bye.

So can someone please give me a ZuneHD .rom file, or provide a better solution to my problem.

Thank you all in advance.

the only thing i can think of is to format the Zune hd then update it using the pc software.
do you keep it near anything like magnets or generators and the like?

No, i don't. And i can't format it because the firmware is not working. My only chance to get it to work is to flash a new firmware, but i need the firmware files first.

Also, i should mention that i have a ZuneHD 16GB model

you may be able to get firmware files from Microsoft.
does it show as a Zune hd to the Zune software?

Microsoft won't just give me the firmware files. Those are closed source. And no, the ZuneHd doesn't show up in the Zune Software, if it did, i wouldn't ask for help.

i meant sending it in for Microsoft to reload it with fresh stuff if they still do it.

i have one last trick up my sleeve.
set it down and don't touch it for a day or so then press power. my Zune hd has bricked itself before and that usually helped it though i have no idea why.

I will try to power it up tomorrow, but for now i'm letting it rest.

And no, i can't send it to Microsoft because i bought it second hand, and even if they revived it, they would ask a absurd price for a reinitialization.
